She is dedicated to bringing quality education to associations and corporations. She has been teaching real estate, professional standards, and motivational classes since 2000. Her classes are informative, interactive, and high-energy. Taking a class from Leigh will give attendees insight, practical experience, respect, and a renewed enthusiasm for real estate! Leigh loves what she does and it shows!
And while it may seem that Leigh lives and breaths education, she is also the consummate lover of Cabernets – the dryer the better, has an obsession with dark chocolate, is an avid rider of roller coasters, and has a love affair with Randy her husband of over 25 years.
Leigh York is a third-generation real estate licensee. She grew up around real estate agents and builders. Leigh is an agent, broker, and speaker/educator. Prior to real estate Leigh worked in corporate sales as a general manager for a large beverage distributor. Leigh was a regional manager for one of the largest CENTURY 21 franchises in the world. And then General Manager for another CENTURY 21 franchise that had 3 locations. She learned that company culture started and ended with management, along with profits. Whether it's volunteers, independent contractors, or employees the culture and leadership are the most important pieces of recruitment and retention. Recruitment and retention are directly related to profit.
Over the years Leigh has served on numerous state, local, and national associations of REALTORS® Committees. She is currently a member of the Broker/Lawyer Committee for the Texas Real Estate Commission, and a Director for the Real Estate Business Institute. Leigh received the Educator of the Year award from the Texas Association of Realtors® in 2014.
